Atul Varadhachary, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Varadhachary joined Agennix in May of 2001 as Executive Vice President. Before joining Agennix, Dr. Varadhachary was a Senior Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, serving in their Houston office since 1994. He also co-founded and ran Pratham Health, a preventive health program reaching 65,000 poor pre-school children in India, while on a leave of absence from McKinsey. Dr. Varadhachary is an Adjunct Professor at the Baylor College Of Medicine and an Adjunct Professor of Management in the Jones Graduate School of Management at Rice University where he teaches a course on Entrepreneurship in Biotechnology. Dr. Varadhachary received his M.D. from the University of Bombay and his Ph.D. in Physiology from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where he also did a postdoctoral fellowship in Biological Chemistry.
