Karel Petrak, Ph.D.

Karel Petrak joined Agennix in January 2001 as Vice President for Research and Development. Previously, Dr. Petrak was a Director with GeneMedicine, GeneRxPlus, and Lavipharm. Before that, he worked at CIBA-Geigy/Novartis internationally, in various positions ranging from drug discovery and delivery research to product development. He holds an engineering degree, a Master of Science degree in macromolecular science from the Technical University, Prague, and a Ph.D. from the University of Sussex, England for work on cancer conducted at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund in London, England. Dr. Petrak has documented his work in over 100 peer-reviewed publications and in more than 20 patents.
