Agennix is a private biotechnology company developing a first-in-class molecule with potent immunological activity for the treatment of cancer and wound healing. The Company's lead molecule, talactoferrin, is an immunomodulatory protein with a novel mechanism of action. The Company is developing an oral liquid formulation of talactoferrin for cancer indications and a topical gel formulation for the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers.

Agennix has completed a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase II study evaluating talactoferrin in combination with chemotherapy for the first-line treatment of locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC. This trial met its primary endpoint (improvement in response rate) with p=0.05. Agennix is currently preparing to initiate Phase III development of oral talactoferrin for the first-line NSCLC, the Company's lead cancer indication, and has received Fast Track designation from the FDA for talactoferrin's use in this indication.
